Teaching
CA Studios is committed to the nurturing and empowering of future generations of designers, artists and critical thinkers.
This commitment is continuously challenged, inspired and developed through extensive engagement with the teaching and research of design at universities across Australia and internationally.
Charles Anderson is currently Associate Professor in the School of Architecture and Design at RMIT University where, positioned within the Landscape Architecture Program, he teaches extensively across the school into the design stream in the post-graduate and undergraduate programs. Leading interdisciplinary studios he explores with his students collaborative and generative design processes, climate change, urban resilience and hybrid ecologies, and the opportunities and challenges of digital technologies in the design of the public realm.
Charles is a frequent guest critic, lecturer and studio leader at many universities internationally and around Australia, and leads international design studios and design workshops – most recently in UPC Barcelona, SCUT Guangzhou, China, and ENSP Versailles, France.
Charles also supervises Phd candidates from across the fields of art and design with candidates from architecture, landscape architecture, industrial design, urban design, dance and choreography.
