Dr Charles Anderson

Charles is the director of CAStudios. Charles is an interdisciplinary artist and Landscape Architect with over thirty five years experience making and exhibiting work in Australia and around the world. He has a distinguished reputation as an artist and designer, and has received numerous awards for his work, from both within and without the landscape architectural profession.

Charles is Associate Professor in Landscape Architecture at RMIT University where he is also the Higher Degree by Research coordinator for the School of Architecture and Urban Design. Charles teaches across the School and pursues his various research interests in a number of university wide interdisciplinary research laboratories. Charles was founding director of Stutterheim / Anderson Landscape Architecture (SAALA), an award winning design practice based in Melbourne, is a registered member of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects, and sits on numerous national and international industry and educational committees.

CAStudios forms collaborative partnerships with other art and design offices, practitioners, researchers, and Industry and cultural institutions on a project-by-project basis. We do not hold permanent staff but seek like minded people to join our project teams as they develop.
